In the the night of August, the 30th to August, the 31st a wall of fire rolled over the municipal areas of Mijas, Marbella, Ojen, Coín and Alhaurín. The region of "Entrerríos", is the worst affected, in which the property of Chantal is located. Because the shelter PAD is constantly overcrowded, Chantal houses a lot of animals on this finca. At the time of the fire there were many cats, dogs, wo were difficult to place in new homes, three-legged goats, two rescued pot-bellied pigs, rabbits and lots of birds.
Overall, there were over 100 animals on the Finca during the fire.
The Finca was painstakingly renovated in recent years and new enclosures for the cats were built not too long ago.
The country house is burned down completely. Most of the animals are dead, the survivors are currently in a veterinary clinic.
Some cats are gone, whether they could save themselves, we still do not know.
We also don't know wo is dead for sure yet, because the dead animals are often burned beyond recognition.
We need help and donations urgently to pay the medical bills for the cats in the clinic, to provide shelter und food for to the survivors and to rebuild the enclosures and cat houses.
